TIPS FOR PARENTS

Below are links to various articles which may be of interest to parents of our skaters.  Many of these articles were collected at the USFS Regional Training Camp that was held in Anchorage several years ago. 

ISSUES INVOLVING PARENTS THAT MAY ARISE THAT CAN NEGATIVELY EFFECT SKATER'S MENTAL TOUGHNESS AND HOW TO AVOID OR RESOLVE THEM  by Choeleen Loundagin, M.A.  (with permission) Choeleen Loundagin, MA, is an Athletic Performance Enhancement Consultant with extensive experience helping figure skaters achieve their personal best. She has a Master's Degree in Sport Psychology and works with athletes, coaches, and parents in a wide variety of sports at all levels of expertise. Choeleen's figure skating background as a competitor, USFS triple gold medalist, international performer, and PSA Master Rated coach lend her special insight into the particular needs and concerns of skaters.
